Zimbabwe and the Falls

Day 20 we packed up early and set on the 170km trip to Kasane and the Zimbabwean border. The first 60kms of the road was an experience and took us just over 2 hours to conquer. After this things improved until we eventually came onto our first tar road in 5 days. Sheer bliss. We stopped at Kasane to refuel and shop. We needed to get rid of our remaining Pula (Botswana currency) as no other country appears to want it. After this we drove on to the Zimbabwean Border nearby and entered expecting the worst. However we were pleasantly surprised as the staff was polite if not efficient. We were especially happy to clear customs without getting arrested again. It seems that Interpol has sorted their problem out. After crossing the border we headed on to Victoria Falls, set up camp, had a swim and caught up with office work.
